Educational Visit to Celeo’s Solar Thermal Plants in Ciudad Real

The Elecnor Foundation organizes, as part of the collaboration agreement with the Higher Technical School of Industrial Engineering (ETSII) of the Polytechnic University of Madrid (UPM), a visit for first-year Master’s students in Industrial Engineering, specializing in Electrical and Energy Engineering, to the solar thermal plants that Celeo—an affiliate partly owned by the Elecnor Group—operates in Ciudad Real.

Elecnor Group staff explained to the students how a parabolic trough solar thermal plant works and described its construction process, placing special emphasis on occupational risk prevention. Finally, the students visited ASTE 1A and ASTE 1B, accompanied by Elecnor’s operation and maintenance personnel.
