10 years of helping to build a better world
The Elecnor Foundation is celebrating its 10th birthday and, on this milestone anniversary, we can happily say that we have successfully improved the lives of thousands of people with energy, water and education by creating opportunities for development. We would like to thank everyone at Elecnor who has worked selflessly to make this possible, we would also like to express our gratitude to the private and institutional partners for their collaboration over the last 10 years.
We share our technology by building sustainable facilities that can then be replicated in other communities. Our projects create development opportunities in the locations where they are installed.
Over the last 10 years of hope, dedication and work, we have completed 10 projects in 10 different countries. Projects such as Synergia (synergy), bringing water and electricity to a community in the Atacama desert, Chile, and Luces para Aprender (lights for learning), which has brought electricity to many rural schools in Uruguay, are still alive today and continue to evolve towards new goals. Other more recent projects, such as H2OMe in Angola, which has been bringing drinking water to a community of about 10,000 people since the end of 2016, and Emprendiendo y Aprendiendo en Digital (digital learning and entrepreneurship) in Nicaragua, in collaboration with Plan International, supports the cultural education and training process among the local population, especially children and adolescents of the Misquita community, through the use of ICT. All of the Foundation's projects are also available in the Social Infrastructure section of the website.
