Towards an ethical city
The Elecnor Foundation and the University of Deusto have signed a collaboration agreement to develop actions and initiatives related to ethics and values in companies, public bodies and other organisations.
As a result, the Elecnor Foundation has joined the Board of Patrons of the DEUSTO CITIES LAB of the University of Deusto. The agreement was signed by the Foundation's Chairman, Fernando Azaola, and the University Rector, José María Guibert. The result of this agreement will be a Laboratory focused on the role of technological solutions in the sustainable development of cities.
The intended outcome is to build transformative and innovative urban ecosystems that can simultaneously stimulate economic, ecological, social and cultural development, with the relevant development of available technologies and those that are yet to be incorporated.
The aim is to build on the culture of Smart Cities to propose a new logic of cities with multiple intelligences. In addition, the project seeks to evolve from the logic of technological innovation applied to goods, products and urban services towards a logic of technology-based social, ecological, cultural and economic innovation. All without losing sight of the needs, motivations and values of citizens who are co-generators of experiences and intangible assets.
The Elecnor Foundation joins a Board of Patrons that already includes: the Basque Government, BBK Foundation, Gipúzcoa Provincial Council, BBVA, Bilbao City Council, Iberdrola, Vitoria City Council, Ferrovial, EUDEL, Ikusi-Velatia and Ner Group.
