The UJI, the Elecnor Foundation and Elecnor are to run joint training activities
The Jaume I University (Universitat Jaume I or UJI) in Castellón, the Elecnor Foundation and Elecnor have signed a general collaboration agreement to establish and develop academic, cultural and scientific relations between the three organisations.
Attending the act on behalf of the UJI were the university Chancellor Eva Alcón; the Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Planning, Coordination and Communication, Modesto Fabra; the Head of the Electrical Engineering Department, Néstor Aparicio, and Professor Enrique Belenguer from the same department.
The Elecnor Foundation was represented by Jorge Ballester, Director of the Foundation and Elecnor was represented by Bernardino Casado, Representative for Maintenance and Services.
The UJI Chancellor emphasised that this agreement “establishes a stable framework for collaboration in order to build up specialised knowledge and help to spread it, using it as a tool for social, technological and business improvements” and she thanked the Elecnor Foundation and Elecnor for placing their confidence in the Jaume I University.
Jorge Ballester, Director of the Elecnor Foundation, stated that “as companies, we have many ways to give back what society has contributed to us and one of them is working to give opportunities to young people that foster their professional growth in real working environments, which will certainly make it easier for them to find opportunities in the job market in the future. In this sense, university-business collaboration is fundamental.”
The aim is to organise and run joint training activities (conferences, congresses, meetings, sessions or courses) by exchanging experiences and knowledge, expert staff, educational resources, infrastructures or teachers in areas of mutual interest. Each of the activities realised will be detailed in an addendum to this agreement.
