The Elecnor Foundation, in collaboration with Salesianos Deusto College in Deusto, Bilbao, has taken another step towards forging a link between companies and professional training programmes. It has designed a tertiary-level Specialist Course in Low- and High-Voltage Electrical Installations, which complements the formal training given to students and aims to prepare them for their future professional careers in the electrical sector.

The course is modular and has a duration of three weeks, with a total of 60 hours divided between theory classes, workshop classes and a visit to an operational facility run by Elecnor. The course will be taught at Salesianos Deusto College and its syllabus was designed by the Elecnor Foundation, which has also funded the adaptation of the college’s laboratory and provided the equipment required to run the course.

“We are committed to launching this training project, which is a new initiative designed to address the regrettable lack of regular collaboration between companies and professional training programmes. We believe that these kinds of initiatives, which are part of the Elecnor Foundation’s Training and Research activities, are essential in order to develop highly trained and capable professionals, who enjoy improved employment prospects and can help the business environment become more competitive”, stated Elecnor’s Director of Corporate Resources Kepa Valle.
