Elecnor, Signatory Partner of the UN Global Compact
Our company has recently taken another step forward by signing the UN Global Compact, the world`s largest initiative in sustainable development and transparency, becoming a signatory partner.
This has enabled us to strengthen the alignment of our business strategy with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Infrastructure, energy, water or environmental projects are intertwined with some of the global challenges addressed by the SDGs, such as climate change and reducing the energy gap.
For us, this milestone evidences the Group's commitment to the constant improvement of management practices and procedures, positioning us as a leader in this area since the Group's creation 60 years ago. Thus, the organisation continues to strengthen and consolidate its ethical commitment in all of its areas of activity among its employees and stakeholders.
In this vein, in 2018, we obtained the UNE-ISO 37001 (Anti-bribery Management Systems) certification, issued by the Spanish Association of Standardisation and Certification (AENOR), making us the first company in the sector in Spain to do so.
