Six years training future professionals
March marked the end of the fifth Specialist Course in Low and Medium-Voltage Electrical Installations, developed by the Elecnor Foundation in the field of Training and Research in partnership with Colegio Salesianos Deusto. The students participating in the sixth edition were also present.
Ignacio Prado, patron of the Elecnor Foundation, and Enrique Parra, Elecnor Training Officer, attended the event and took the opportunity to say a few words to the students.
The students have had the opportunity to learn and implement safe work practices in confined spaces and hazardous atmospheres, complete operations in medium voltage installations and work in low voltage electrical networks. They have acquired the knowledge required to effectively and safely perform work at height, among other skills.
Occupational health and safety
Occupational Health and Safety is of vital importance to Elecnor. This is why Elecnor Foundation teaches students at the Colegio Deusto about its significance, so that they are familiar with and value it even before joining the world of work. In short, the objective is to create a "culture of prevention" that promotes the health and safety of future professionals through measures and activities that lead to the prevention of certain risks at work.
This course aims to supplement the lack of training and information on the different occupational risks as well as the absence of good practices in this area, which are some of the factors that lead to occupational accidents and the development of occupational diseases.
